Definitely not
the same ol' place. No...this is not
a third-world
country...
it's Brooklyn, N.
Y.
Lived here on the top floor from the
early forties to early fifties.
The rent was
$38 per month. Great place in those days for a kid growing up. Lots of friends,
sports, and things to do. With New York City thirty minutes away on the subway,
and only a nickle to get there, I wouldn't swap it for anything. This house sells
for 300 grand today.
Unbelievable!

Hi
Guys,
Great shot
Gene. Here's my first-ever girl-friends apartment at 530 52nd St. We were both
12, and went to PS 94. We met at a Holloween Party across the street at Georgy
Phlum's house. True love, but not to last, she moved after about a year, and
never heard from her again. I was devastated...haven't been the same since.

Looking towards Fifth Avenue. Another "Doris" I liked, but
couldn't get anywhere with because of her preference for the older boys. lived
in the
tan
colored building on the third floor. Those pre-teen days were tough on a guy,
great for the girls. There was a Chinese laundry, and Japanese restauant on the
ground floor of the last building to the right...and a barber shop...almost
forgot. Note the chintsey, crapulous street light. There once was an ornate
wrought-iron, substantial looking street light in front of my place. Nah...I
could never return...too much gone!
